Summit Bodyworks is a premier provider of 3-axis CNC wood routing and machining services. We do large production jobs for companies looking for repetitive cuts. Mass production can save you time and money over the life of your project. We offer design development and engineering assistance throughout the project to ensure meticulous production for seamless integration in your final product. We use an Anderson CNC Router, model number S510, that can accommodate sheets of wood up to 5' x 10'. It has a 7.5HP router head & 8 position tool changer for complex machining projects.
A CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) router uses computer software and electronics to operate its total system. This allows for precision and detail in a shorter amount of time than it would take a human. CNC routers operate with such efficiency that they are capable of general cuts, engravings and carvings that are unmatched. The computer program uploads coordinates into the CNC electronics and the router does the rest. The outcome is a precise engraving or carving that is truly amazing!
